As the stewards of our rich ecosystem, we are concerned about the park’s habitat for wildlife as well as its humans.
No Mow May, a conservation program sweeping the country, creates habitats for early-season bees and other pollinators.
It encourages property owners to wait until June to mow their lawns as well as to refrain from using fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides, which all contribute to the decline of our honey bee population.
In May, the park will allow some areas to grow uncut.
