We’re thrilled to introduce a special new addition to Frank Melville Memorial Park—our very own Little Free Library! Nestled along the path as you enter the park by the post office, this small but mighty box is filled with stories waiting to be shared.

This library is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Savarese family, in loving memory of Gabriella Savarese. It stands not only as a place to exchange books, but as a tribute to the power of stories to bring people together.

Whether you’re taking a leisurely stroll, meeting friends, or simply soaking in the beauty of the park, you can now pause for a literary moment. The concept is simple: take a book, leave a book. It’s an invitation to connect with your neighbors through the joy of reading.

From page-turning thrillers like Beach Road by James Patterson to hidden gems just waiting to be discovered, the library offers something for everyone. It will continue to grow and evolve as the community shares their favorites—so you never know what treasures you’ll find!

How it works:

  • Feel free to take a book home to enjoy.
  • Return it when you’re done—or leave another in its place.
  • No checkouts, no deadlines—just a shared love of stories.

We hope this Little Free Library becomes a place where stories are not only read, but remembered and passed on—connecting neighbors one book at a time.

So next time you’re in the park, stop by, take a look, and maybe even find your next great read under the trees.

Happy reading, and thank you for being part of the story.
