The Frank Melville Park is a beautiful backdrop for photographers to bring clients to, as well as a community gem for all to share. The park is privately owned and can only sustain its beauty from Friends like you making a much-appreciated donation. The $300 annual/$100 daily donation you donate will go towards keeping our grounds and buildings pristine for you to enjoy and photograph.
WEDDING PARTIES:
Wedding photography/wedding parties are strictly prohibited in the Frank Melville Park UNLESS you are renting the Bates House for your wedding.GATHERINGS IN THE PARK:
Should you wish to have a gathering, you must contact/email park headquarters for details. We do not allow parties/events to come in without authorization from park personnel.PHOTOGRAPHY RULES:
Frank Melville Park is a stunning backdrop cherished by the community and a great place for photographers. However, please note that commercial photo shoots are strictly prohibited in the park. As a privately owned space, the park relies on generous donations from Friends like you to maintain its beauty. A donation of $300 annually or $100 for a one day photo session helps keep our grounds and buildings pristine for everyone to enjoy. Visitors and Families that do NOT have a professional photographer with them do not need a pass to take photos in the park. Important Guidelines for Professional Photographers (Anyone selling images or charging for photos):- You must purchase and carry your photo pass receipt when visiting the park, or show the security guard your receipt on your phone.
- No props of any kind are allowed in the park; however, photographers may bring a blanket for clients to sit on.
- Alcohol and smoking are prohibited in the park.
- Large lighting equipment is not permitted. Hand-held lights and reflectors are acceptable.
- Please do not obstruct pathways or the stone bridge; walkers and dog owners always have the right of way.
- Be considerate of other photographers and allow them space to capture their special moments.
- No cars or limousines are allowed in the park. Please park on Main Street in front of the little post office.
- Commercial photo shoots, video shoots, or film crews are not permitted.

Please Note: The bees will be working hard to make your honey through the spring and summer months. We will bee in touch once their work is complete and your honey is ready. If you did not have an opportunity to make one of the pick updates to let us know so we can try to arrange your pick up.
