PHOTOGRAPHY RULES:
Frank Melville Park is a stunning backdrop cherished by the community and a great place for photographers. However, please note that
commercial photo shoots are strictly prohibited in the park.
As a privately owned space, the park relies on generous donations from Friends like you to maintain its beauty. A donation of $300 annually or $100 for a one day photo session helps keep our grounds and buildings pristine for everyone to enjoy.
Visitors and Families that do NOT have a professional photographer with them do not need a pass to take photos in the park.
Important Guidelines for Professional Photographers (Anyone selling images or charging for photos):
- You must purchase and carry your photo pass receipt when visiting the park, or show the security guard your receipt on your phone.
- Photography is NOT allowed on Saturdays from May 1st to November 1st due to Bates House weddings.
From November 2nd to April, photography on Saturdays is permitted.
- No props of any kind are allowed in the park; however, photographers may bring a blanket for clients to sit on.
- Alcohol and smoking are prohibited in the park.
- Large lighting equipment is not permitted. Hand-held lights and reflectors are acceptable.
- Please do not obstruct pathways or the stone bridge; walkers and dog owners always have the right of way.
